Strategic Planning Our Approach

eGov focuses on developing solid project requirements to ensure that the implementation process leads to the desired outcome.

Requirements and the eGov Roadmap Process

Ensuring the right outcome for your technology initiative is of utmost importance to the eGov Team. To this end, eGov employs a variety of approaches - all documented extensively - to ensure that is the case.

For Payment Projects

KICKOFF MEETING: To initiate your project, an introduction meeting will be held to introduce your team to the Project Team leaders. At the meeting, the eGov Project Leader will review goals and objectives (e.g. from an RFP) and facilitate a high-level discussion to review the eGov process, identify any additional goals and objectives, develop a plan to finalize the project scope, and discuss any specific target dates for launching the new website.

REQUIREMENTS: A formal requirements document will define any custom elements of the payment implementation project and provide a structure for configuring your payment items. Any custom development effort will then be managed by creating User Stories that are input to the eGov Agile Development process.

For Website Solution Projects

KICKOFF MEETING: To initiate your project, an introduction meeting will be held to introduce your team to the Project Team leaders. At the meeting, the eGov Project Leader will review goals and objectives (e.g. from an RFP) and facilitate a high-level discussion to review the eGov process, identify any additional goals and objectives, develop a plan to finalize the project scope, and provide a project timeline.

EGOV ROADMAP: To map out the website and obtain the best utilization of the eGov software, we will create an eGov Roadmap. The Roadmap is completed by collecting basic client information and documenting the vision that you have for your website and online services. We introduce Best Practices into this project - so you're not having to strategize your "best-in-class" website by yourself.

The eGov Roadmap process generally includes the following:

  • Design preparation meetings w/ design best practices

  • Design Roadmap session

  • Interviews w/ key departments and their content coordinators

  • A methodology for both eGov and the client project leader to track work items for collection and transition of content and services

More about Our Approach

"eGov Strategies is great to work with.  They are always so responsive and thorough when addressing any of my questions or concerns.  They have worked with us to upgrade and redesign our website twice - which is very tedious - but they manage the process seamlessly so it is not overwhelming."
